Reading

Learning to read is a critical milestone in every child’s life. It’s truly a fundamental skill to ensure a well educated life. We work to ensure that all in our programs have the ability to have literacy by the age of 10. ECF firmly believes that reading is a gateway into fostering a love of learning and helps children find a wide variety of interests that will help them grow.

Our Mission
Education Comes Firsts’ mission is to inspire kids to realize the depth of their potential by providing all the tools needed to further both their academic and social education outside of the classroom, seeing them achieve their full potential.
Ending Learning Poverty!
Learning poverty means being unable to read and understand a simple text by age 10. We believe we can help fill the opportunity gap by supporting out-of-school organizations that are established as youth development professionals.
